Terms of Use
Version 2026-10 · last updated 16 October 2026These terms are the agreement between you and SN Partners Limited ("we", "us") for using Passo. By creating an account you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your data.
1. Ride safely
Passo is a game for use on your own exercise bike, and exercise carries some risk.
- If you have a health condition, are pregnant, or haven't exercised for a while, check with a doctor before you start.
- Start gently and build up, especially if you're new to exercise. Take breaks and drink water when you need to.
- Stop straight away if you feel pain, dizziness, faintness or unusually short of breath.
- Never ride after drinking alcohol or taking anything that affects your balance or judgement.
- Set up and use your bike as its maker says, on a stable floor, with the screen somewhere you can see it without twisting or leaning.
- Keep children and pets clear of the bike while it's in use.
- Steering by leaning (camera steering) needs only small movements: stay seated and balanced.
- Speeds, distances, effort and heart rate in Passo are for the game. They aren't medical or training advice.
You ride at your own risk, except where the law says otherwise (see section 10).
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or over to have an account. You can add up to four riders for your household, including children, and you're responsible for how they use Passo. Children should ride only with an adult nearby and on a bike that fits them.
- We sign you in with a code sent to your email, so keep your email account secure.
- Rider names are seen by your household and our team: please keep them friendly.
3. Your free trial, then a subscription
Passo starts with a free trial of one month, and you don't need a card to start it. After that, you can subscribe to keep the whole game, or carry on with Passo's free version, which has fewer kinds of ride. Our pricing page shows the prices and what each includes. We'll show you the price and its terms before you subscribe, and nothing is charged unless you choose to.
New worlds and some extra content are unlocked with lire, which you earn by riding. In the free version you keep earning lire, and everything you've earned or unlocked stays yours, but spending lire needs a subscription.
Prices, and what's included, may change over time. We'll tell you before a change affects you, and anything you've already unlocked stays yours.
Lire, Passo's in-game money, are earned by riding. They have no real-world value and can't be bought, sold, exchanged for money or moved to another account.
Things you get with lire, like kit and companions, are yours to use in Passo, but they aren't property you own. We may change what they cost or how they work, to keep the game fair and fun.
4. When you subscribe or buy something
- Before you pay, we'll show you what you're getting, the price (including any VAT) and any terms that apply to it. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time, as easily as you subscribed.
- We'll remind you before your free trial ends, and before each renewal where the law requires it.
- You can switch between paying monthly and yearly at any time. A switch to yearly starts straight away, with what's left of your month taken off the price. A switch to monthly starts when your year ends.
- If you cancel, you keep the whole game until the end of the month or year you've paid for, and then carry on with the free version.
- Payments may be handled by a payment provider or app store, whose own terms also apply to the payment.
- If you're a consumer in the UK or the EU, you normally have 14 days to change your mind about a purchase and get a refund. Your subscription starts as soon as you pay, so when you subscribe we'll ask you to agree to that, and to confirm you understand that once it has started, this 14-day right no longer applies. You can still cancel at any time, and you keep the whole game until the end of the month or year you've paid for.
- If something you've paid for doesn't work as it should, you have legal rights to a repair, a replacement or a refund. Get in touch and we'll put it right.
- Anything you've bought stays yours for as long as we run Passo.
5. Using Passo fairly
Please don't try to break into, overload or interfere with Passo or other people's accounts, use automated tools to access it, fake rides or earn lire by cheating, or use the Feedback tab to send anything abusive or unlawful. We may suspend or close an account that does.
Please also don't copy, decompile or reverse-engineer Passo, use it for business, use it to build a competing product, or use it or its content to train artificial intelligence.
6. Passo is ours; your ideas help us
The game, its world, music, art and code belong to us or the people we license them from. You may use Passo for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve Passo without owing you anything.
7. Passo changes over time
We keep improving Passo, so things will change and some features may be replaced. If a change makes something you've paid for clearly worse, we'll tell you first, and you can cancel it and get your money back. We back up your progress, but we can't promise Passo will always be available or free of bugs, or that progress will never be lost. We may pause Passo for maintenance. If we ever stop running Passo, we'll give you notice, of at least 60 days wherever we can.
8. Your equipment
To play Passo you need an indoor bike, a Bluetooth speed sensor, and a computer or Android tablet with Chrome or Edge (see What is Passo?). It doesn't work on iPhone or iPad yet.
Passo works with your own exercise bike, sensors, heart-rate monitor, computer and browser. We don't make them and aren't responsible for them, for how accurate their readings are, or for whether a particular one works with Passo. If we suggest equipment, including with links to shops, the seller is responsible for what they sell you.
9. Ending
You can stop using Passo at any time, and delete your account yourself in Settings → Account. We may close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and we'll tell you why unless the law stops us.
10. Our responsibility to you
We provide Passo with reasonable care and skill.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for your legal rights as a consumer, or for anything else the law doesn't let us limit.
Apart from that, we aren't responsible for:
- injury, illness or loss that comes from exercising, or from your bike or other equipment, where we haven't been negligent;
- problems caused by your device, browser, internet connection or equipment;
- losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen;
- business losses: Passo is for personal use;
- delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
If paid content we supply damages a device or other digital content belonging to you because we didn't use reasonable care and skill, we'll repair the damage or compensate you.
Otherwise, our total responsibility to you for all claims is limited to whichever is greater: what you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £100.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add something new to Passo or the law changes. If a change matters to you, we'll tell you in the game before it applies and ask you to agree to the new version. Small changes, like fixing wording, apply when we publish them.
12. The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the European Union, you keep the protection of the laws where you live and can bring a claim in your local courts.
13. Other legal points
- We may transfer this agreement to another organisation, for example if Passo is sold. We'll tell you, and it won't reduce your rights. You need our agreement to transfer yours.
- If a court decides part of these terms isn't valid, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce something straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- This agreement is between you and us. Nobody else has rights under it.

Privacy Policy
Last updated 14 October 2026Passo is an indoor cycling game you play in your browser. This page explains what we keep about you, why, who helps us, and what you can ask us to do with it. We've kept it in plain English.
The short version
- We keep your email, your riders' progress and your rides, so Passo works on any device and you never lose a ride.
- We keep technical details of how the game ran on each ride, so we can find and fix problems.
- Camera steering never leaves your device. Heart rate stays on your device unless you choose to back it up.
- Your rides are private. Nothing you do in Passo is public: only your household and our team can see your riders and rides.
- Passo itself doesn't record IP addresses, and we never sell your data or use advertising trackers. We never see your card details.
- You can ask us at any time to show you, download, correct or delete your data.
Who we are
Passo is run by SN Partners Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13400816), registered office The Warehouse, Anchor Quay, Penryn, Cornwall, TR10 8GZ, United Kingdom. We decide how your data is used (we're the "controller"). Contact us at hello@ridepasso.com.
What we keep, and why
Your account
Your email address, when you joined and when you last visited. We use it to sign you in (we email you a code; there's no password) and to run your account. You need an email address to have an account. Legal basis: to provide Passo to you (contract).
Your riders and their progress
A household can have up to four riders. For each: the name you give them (a nickname is fine), how their courier looks, their settings, and their progress: lire, things they've collected, rides, best times and the places they've found. Kept so progress follows you between devices. Legal basis: contract.
Your rides
For each ride: when, how long, how far, how much you climbed, the ride type and route, and your photos from it. This is your ride history in Passo. Legal basis: contract.
How the game ran
For each ride, technical details: your type of device, browser and operating system, screen size, graphics setting, how smoothly the game ran, whether the sound kept up, gaps in your bike sensor's signal, your sensor's make and model, any errors, and every 10 seconds your speed, where you were on the road and what music was playing. Never your heart rate. We use this to find and fix problems and make Passo better. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping Passo working well.
Problem reports and device checks
When something goes wrong (an error, a sensor that won't pair, the game slowing down), the game tells us what happened and on what kind of device. Once a day it also checks how smoothly it runs on your device and sends us the result, with your type of device, browser, screen size and graphics chip. If you're not signed in, these have no name or account attached. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
What you buy
What you bought, when, and what you paid, so you get what you paid for and so we can keep the accounts the law requires. Your card details go straight to our payment provider, Stripe; we never see them. Legal basis: contract, and our legal obligation to keep financial records.
Notes you send us
When you post a note from the Feedback tab, we keep your message, what kind of note it is, your setup and the technical details of your last ride, and email it to our team so we can read it and reply. Legal basis: legitimate interest (answering you and improving Passo).
How you found Passo
The website that sent you to us and any campaign tags on the link, your country (worked out from your connection; Passo doesn't record your IP address), your time zone and language. This tells us how people find Passo. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
What you've agreed to
Which version of our Terms you accepted and when, and whether you want news from us by email (only if you say yes) and when you said so. Legal basis: legal obligation, and your consent for emails.
Heart rate: only if you say yes
If you pair a heart-rate monitor, your heart rate stays on your device. We only save it to your account if you say yes for that rider: we ask once your monitor's connected ("Save it"), and you can change your mind in Settings → Heart rate ("Save my heart rate to my account"). Heart rate is health data, so we need your explicit consent, and saying yes gives it. If you turn it off, we stop saving it and delete our copy straight away. Only your household can see it. We never look at it, and it never appears in our tools. Legal basis: your explicit consent.
What stays on your device
- Camera steering: the video is processed in your browser and never leaves your device.
- Your bike sensor: it talks to your browser directly over Bluetooth.
- Heart rate, unless you choose to back it up.
- The second-by-second record of each ride, used for your ride charts.
What we don't collect
Passo itself doesn't record IP addresses. Our sign-in service and our host see them, as every website does, and keep them briefly for security. We don't collect your exact location, date of birth or gender, or your card details. We don't use advertising trackers or cookies for tracking, and we never sell your data.
We don't make any decisions about you by automated means.
Who helps us run Passo
These companies process data for us, under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only for us:
- Supabase: our database, sign-in and photo storage. Your data is kept on their servers in London, UK.
- Cloudflare: hosts the website. Like any website host, it sees your IP address to deliver the pages to you.
- Resend: sends our emails, such as your sign-in code, from its servers in Ireland, in the EU.
- Stripe: takes your payment when you buy something, and handles your card details.
- Google: our email inbox, where your notes and emails to hello@ridepasso.com arrive.
Some of these are US companies, so your data may be handled in the United States. Where it is, their contracts with us include approved safeguards (standard contractual clauses).
If Passo is ever sold or moved to another company, your data would move with it and stay protected by this policy. We'll only share your data with the police, a court or a regulator if the law requires us to.
Keeping your data safe
Your data is encrypted on its way between your device and our servers, and encrypted where it's stored. Each account can only read its own data, and only our small team can see more. No system is perfect, so if a breach ever puts your data at risk, we'll tell you and the Information Commissioner's Office, as the law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as you have an account, so your full ride history is always there. Nothing is deleted on a timer. If you delete your account in Settings → Account, everything linked to it, including your photos, is deleted straight away, and any notes you've sent us are deleted from our inbox within 30 days. If you ask us to delete it instead, we do it all within 30 days. Heart rate is deleted at once when you withdraw consent. Problem reports from people who weren't signed in carry no name and are kept to track down bugs. Records of what you bought are kept for six years after the end of the financial year, because the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- show you the data we keep about you, or give you a copy to take elsewhere;
- correct anything that's wrong;
- delete your data (or delete your whole account yourself, in Settings → Account);
- limit how we use it while a question about it is sorted out;
- stop using it for anything based on our legitimate interests;
- withdraw a consent you've given (heart rate, or news by email) at any time.
Email hello@ridepasso.com and we'll reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) in the UK, or the data protection authority where you live.
Children
Accounts are for adults (18 or over). An adult can add riders for their household, including children, and is responsible for them. Please use a nickname for a child if you prefer.
Cookies and storage on your device
Passo doesn't use tracking cookies. It uses your browser's own storage to keep you signed in and to keep your progress, settings and photos on your device. That's needed for the game to work, so there's no cookie banner.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If the change matters, we'll tell you in the game or by email before it applies.
Contact
Email us any time. We read everything and reply as soon as we can.
hello@ridepasso.comIf you're signed in and something isn't working in the game, the Feedback tab on the title screen is the quickest way to tell us. It sends us your setup along with your note.
