passo /ˈpas·so/ Italian, noun
1 a mountain pass 2 a step

We make indoor cycling fun.

Staring at a wall on a spin bike or exercise bike gets boring fast, and most people give up. Passo gives every ride somewhere beautiful to go, so you'll actually want to keep riding.

  • A proper workout. Pick how long and how hard.
  • Free for a month. No card needed.
  • No smart trainer needed. A cheap sensor is enough.
  • Nothing to install. It runs in your web browser.

A cheap Bluetooth speed sensor clips onto the flywheel of your spin bike. Where to get one

2Open Passo

Go to ridepasso.com in Chrome or Edge, on a laptop, desktop or Android tablet.

We email you a code instead of a password. Pair your sensor once and it reconnects by itself.

How a ride works

Choosing a ride

  • Ride for 20 to 90 minutes.
  • Pick a level, from Gentle to Insane 🤯
  • Ride steady, or do intervals.
  • Want an adventure? Become a courier, deliver parcels to the villagers and earn lire 💰
  • Or just ride and enjoy the view.

Out on the road

  • Pedal faster, go faster. Simple!
  • Hills slow you down, just like a real ride.
  • Our pace guide shows when to push and when to ease off.
  • Our original soundtrack keeps you going and lifts you on the climbs.

A world to explore

  • Every ride looks different, from first light to a golden evening.
  • Passo is a living world. Farm dogs give chase and crowds wave you over each pass.
  • Keep an eye out for hidden surprises. There's always something new to spot.
  • Bring a companion along for the ride, like a dog who trots beside you and chases butterflies.

Questions

Is Passo free?

Your first month is free, and you don't need a card to start. After that, it's £7.99 a month or £79.99 a year for your whole household, or you can keep riding Just Ride for free. New worlds are unlocked with lire, the money you earn by riding. See pricing

Do I need a smart trainer?

No. Passo works with the bike you already have, as long as it has a Bluetooth speed sensor fitted, and those don't cost much.

Do I need to be fit?

No. You go at your own pace, and there's nothing you can fail.

How is Passo different from Zwift or Peloton?

Zwift and Peloton are built for training, and Zwift works best with a smart trainer, which costs a few hundred pounds. Passo is designed to make indoor cycling more fun. You still get a proper workout, but with a game woven in, so there are places to explore and things to do along the way. It works with a normal spin bike and a cheap speed sensor.

Can my family use it?

Yes. Up to four people in a household can each have their own rider and progress.

Does it work on iPhone or iPad?

Not yet, but an app is coming soon. Safari on iPhone and iPad can't connect to Bluetooth sensors, so we're making one.

Will Passo run on my computer?

Most laptops and desktops from 2020 or later run it well. Passo sets its graphics to suit your device and adjusts them as you ride. Older or low-cost laptops, Chromebooks and tablets may struggle. The best way to find out is to try it, free for a month. If it isn't smooth, choose Low under Graphics in Settings → Display.
